Robot-based systems allow sample preparation to be carried out more reliably and remain open to future changes. This is because changing requirements for analysis will also require changes to sample preparation processes in the future.

Customized automation solutions for your laboratory

We manufacture individual automation solutions for you from our broad portfolio of individual machines. We supply solutions that handle samples with robots as well as systems or machines that do this using linear units, rotary and lifting columns. The selection and coordination of the machines is carried out in close cooperation with you, the user, to ensure maximum user benefit from the automation.

We create solutions – rely on our decades of experience in automatic sampling and sample preparation of bulk solids and suspensions.

24/7 solutions

We automate:

  • Processes for crushing & grinding bulk materials from piece sizes up to 300 mm to final finenesses < 40 µm
  • Compression of powder samples into tablets with connection for X-ray fluorescence analysis
  • Moisture determination of products under standard conditions of oven temperatures at 105°C, to preserve organic components. We also offer alternative drying methods using IR steel heaters or ovens with higher temperatures.
  • Determination of particle size distribution via sieving processes
  • Characteristic values for drum strength (e.g. Micum, Irsid)
  • Skeleton density via gas pycnometer
  • and much more

We also ensure continuous sample tracking, statistical evaluation of analysis results, data exchange and communication with your laboratory system.

The BULKINSPECTOR gas pycnometer with upstream downpipe swivel sampler as an exemplary installation situation in an automated process for quality control of the porosity of bulk solids.
Installation situation of an automated online process for quality assurance of bulk solids processes. A downpipe swivel sampler takes a representative sample from a downpipe over the entire cross-section and feeds it to the pycnometer via a dosing belt for fully automatic density analysis. The analyzed material is then fed back into the main product stream.
