Operating behavior & mechanical features

Representative sampling is carried out using a slotted vessel, which is swung through the material flow in a circular motion at a constant speed.

While the slotted vessel is rotated through the material flow, a sample is taken from the material flow and collected in the slotted vessel. This is then emptied by opening the movable base above the sample discharge chute. After complete emptying, the slotted vessel swivels back into the waiting position.

The waiting position of the slotted vessel is outside the main material flow in order to maintain the full chute cross-section and to protect the slotted vessel from permanent material impact.

The swivel movement of the slotted vessel can be carried out either by a pneumatic cylinder or by a three-phase motor.
